Two random issues from my pile of old-school Mountain magazines. Mountain was an influential British mountaineering/climbing magazine from the late 1960s to the early 1990s.
This is a kick-ass magazine, and a remarkable historical artifact including high-quality coverage of the climbs of the time, plus interesting letters reflecting the discourse of the day, as well as old-school advertising which also tells a story.
The editor of this magazine is caricatured in Warren Harding’s book “Downward Bound.”
