A Climber's Guide to Joshua Tree National Monument by Wolfe & Dominick (1976)
A Climber's Guide to Joshua Tree National Monument by Wolfe & Dominick (1976)
By John Wolfe & Bob Dominick. This is the Second Edition, First Printing.
Important to note that the guy who sold me this one said he believes it's a Xerox copy, although a very well-done one. "My friend owned a print shop," he said. Props to the friend, because this thing looks quite convincing at first glance. The only area it has obviously suffered is in the quality of the photographs. A large overview map is included, but is split into four pages which together combine to make the complete map.
227 pages, B&W with pretty much everything you expect form a modern guidebook - topos, photos, route descriptions, etc. The only annoyance to a modern climber is the fact that this book uses the NCCS grading system (F-grades), instead of the now-universal Yosemite Decimal System.
