This book is damaged: a rectangular section of the front endpaper has been removed with a razor blade, which caused a bleed-through cut to the following half-title page. Most likely an inscription or a pasted-in photograph was removed. Besides those two damaged pages, the rest of the book is in good shape, with average wear.
This book is signed by Sir Edmund Hillary on the title page (undamaged).
