The official account of the first ascent of Manaslu, one of the world's 14 8,000-meter peaks. This one was bagged by the Japanese, and thus, is presented in their language and style.
This is a pretty book, many pictures and a decent amount of Japanese text. English captions are given for every photograph in an appendix, but you'll need to read Japanese or use a translator app if you want to get the full context.
Nonetheless, this is a nice object on its own terms. Hardcover book in a dedicated slipcase. Eight pages of color photographs, and a hundred+ pages of b&w photographs. Slipcases have some weathering and amateur repairs but books themselves are good.
