Steve House's climbing autobiography, focused around his obsession with and ultimately successful climb of the Rupal Face on Nanga Parbat with Vince Anderson. I didn't care for this book, personally. Steve's a world-class alpinist but a middling writer, in my opinion. But this book was awarded the Boardman-Tasker Prize for Mountain Literature in 2009, so clearly not in everyone's opinion.
