Fred Beckey's early climbs in his home mountains: the North Cascades in Washington and British Columbia. This is mainly a climbing memoir, although interspersed with lots of history and Fred's general curiosity about the area.
Hardcover, 280 pages, with a 22-page appendix of Beckey's climbs 1938-1968. Maps and b&w photographs throughout. Dust jacket missing a large chunk of bottom front cover and front inner flap, now protected in mylar against further loss. Book itself has moderate soiling on the covers. Inner pages are good with no foxing and very minor toning to top edge.
