This book aims to be a comprehensive history of the climbing history in North America - covering everything from the Yosemite monkeys, to the Colorado scene, the Vulgarians in the East, and the alpine masters out of the Northwest, Canada, and Alaska.
This copy is signed by Layton Kor, Jim Bridwell, and Pat Ament on the title page. All three names can be found in the index - Kor is mentioned most of all, followed by Ament, then Bridwell, who really made his name in the years after this book was written.
Paperback. 392 pages. The book was first published in 1976, this is the first paperback printing, 1979. Condition is good with occasional small coffee stains at the outer edges of the pages.
