The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak.
Narrative retelling of the 1967 Wilcox Expedition disaster, in which seven members of the 12-man team died in a historic blizzard on Denali. The dust jacket says they may have faced winds as strong as 300 miles per hour on the summit.
Author Andy hall grew up in Alaska, was former editor of Alaska magazine, and lives in Chugiak, Alaska. He seems like the guy you want telling this story. That said, this book sounds depressing and I'm not going to read it.
252 pages, hardcover book. Minor water damage top front of dust jacket.
