4th edition — the most comprehensive edition of this book ever released. Although there was a subsequent 5th edition, that one removed much of the route beta and basically just kept the stories. This one includes some obscure crags which cannot be found in any other guide. It must be said however, that the guide lost much of its original elegance in the swelling to such a large size (almost 500 pages!)
