The final edition of High Over Boulder to be released, this slim volume yields any attempt to be the comprehensive guide to the Boulder area, which by this point was overflowing with climbers and new route development. In the introduction, Ament states: "We wish to write about the spirit and beauty of climbing and the history as much as tell about routes. We hope to write a book which can be read for enjoyment as easily as it serves to lead one up the best climbs."
