Joshua Tree Supplement by Randy Vogel & Alan Bartlett (1989)

This book is designed to be used alongside Vogel's Joshua Tree Rock Climbing Guide (1986). It updates, corrects, and modernizes the information in that book to include all the new routes done since the publication of that book (around 900!), as well as corrects some errors. 

These supplements were a popular way of updating guidebooks in a time when corrections could not easily be disseminated via the internet, and printing a correc ted version was not so simple as it has become.

These books today are most useful as historical documents, showcasing exactly which new developments were taking place in this short window of time.
