Mountain Photography by Douglas Milner (1945)
Mountain Photography by Douglas Milner (1945)
Instructional book about the art of mountain photography, including some discussion of photographing climbers. Obviously techniques and technology for both photography and climbing have advanced considerably - but even so, I suspect most amateur and even professional photographers would gain a lot of useful knowledge by reviewing this book because the theory it discusses is timeless and often overlooked in today's world.
Paper is a little thin due to the fact that it was printed under the WWII War Economy Standard. Lacks dustjacket, cover has a noticeable curve, binding is strong and complete. Illustrated with many b&w photographic plates throughout - and explanations as to the techniques used in each.
