Flipping through this book got me psyched, honestly. The book describes the High Atlas (in winter) as a worthy mountain range which remains largely unexplored by serious climbers, and maintains the adventure and cultural diversity essential to expedition mountaineering.

The pictures look a lot like the Colorado Rockies - shallower than the Alps, but with enough steeps and gullies to make ridge traverse and classical mountaineering interesting. The book focuses on easier routes, with most falling between the French Alpine grades of F and D, but the author says a visiting climber with an eye could easily find more interesting lines simply by looking around.

Anyone want to take a trip to Morocco? I've been once before, not in a climbing context - it's a fascinating country.
