Less-known in the West, Silvo Karo is a climber's climber.
He has serious ascents on serious mountains to his name - many remain unrepeated, even decades later. A few to whet your appetite: Speed ascents on El Capitan; first ascent of the popular Cruz del Sur (Southern Cross) route on La Esfinge, Peru; first ascents on the North face of Triglav, Slovenia; West face of Bhagirathi III in the Himalaya; and innumerable climbs in Patagonia.
This is Silvo's first and likely only published book. An excellent one to own if you are curious about the history of Yugoslav or Slovenian alpinism.
