Interesting item. This is, as far as I can tell, a proof or Advanced Reader Copy of Ed Webster's Snow in the Kingdom. This book was self-published and only ever commercially released in hardcover. This is a paperback copy with no text on the back cover, and b&w photos (commercial edition has really nice, high-quality color photos).
It is signed and inscribed from Ed Webster: "To Michael Chessler - Who believed!" And From Lisa Webster: "To Michael, with love and patience." Both inscriptions are dated November 2, 2000. Michael Chessler was a prominent climbing bookseller; his name can be found in the (voluminous) acknowledgements section "for assisting with other historical and personal information." I acquired this book when I bought Michael Chessler's business inventory in 2026.
