Probably the most-read copy of this book in existence.
Brown was one of the early climbing everymen, coming from a working-class background and rising to major ascents including participating in the first ascents of Kanchenjunga and Muztagh Tower in the Himalaya and Karakoram. You can read more about Brown in this book (Ha!) or on Wikipedia.
