The back of the book claims: "There is a popular legend among mountaineers that Boyd Everett's expeditions were so well organized that he flew to Alaska wearing his business suit and changed into his climbing clothes in the glacier pilot's hangar."
This book was adapted from a lecture presented to the Harvard Mountaineering Club in 1966. Many of the principles within are timeless, but obviously certain things regarding logistics, expenses, and communications have changed significantly.
