A woman's perspective on the culture and environment of Nepal. Barbara Scot spent a year in Nepal teaching, in 1990, and ultimately came to the conclusion that Western education was hurting Nepal and Nepalis more than it was helping.
This is more of a travel memoir than a climbing book, but it is of interest for the female perspective (supremely lacking in most climbing literature), and for the Himalayan environment.
