Large, handsome hardcover biography of Tom Patey, one of Scotland's pioneering early climbers. Patey left his mark in many places throughout his home of North-West Scotland, as well as abroad. Known for his charm and humor, some of Patey's songs and essays were published posthumously in One Man's Mountains.
Patey died in 1970 at the young age of 38, in a rappelling accident.
