Yellow hardcover. This was the first book published by Chockstone Press, who was the leading publisher of guidebooks in the USA during the 1980s and 1990s. Also notable for being the first published guidebook to use the now-ubiquitous topographic diagrams (topos) to describe pitch-by-pitch features of long rock climbs (Meyer's self-published 1976 Yosemite pamphlet also used topos, but here we are referring to commercially-available books). The topo format was used so that international visitors to Yosemite Valley, who might not read English, could safely understand the routes.
